Remembering A Special Moment

I watch this sunset
Sitting at the edge of the beach under this tree
Watching the colors blend into one
Hearing only the ocean sound

As I watch and listen to all this
One thing comes to my mind
Five years ago from this day
I was here with my love

I remember this cause it was a special day
The day I carved our name into this tree
Also the day I surprised her with a ring
Yes the day I asked her to marry me
An amazing day such as this

Yet today I watch the sunset
I listen to the ocean
I do all this for her
Remembering her
Honoring her

    Really enjoyed this piece whole heartedly, It hit so close to home for me. I could feel the ever powerful emotions that was expressed so well within. I totally feel for you and hope all is well.. a fantastic job on this poem!!
