Until then my heart will cry out

by Kimber   Mar 12, 2008

Tonight these words pour from my soul
Like tears I cannot cry

I walk alone though surrounded by many
Hidden desperation builds under my eyes

No one truly understands me
No one possibly could

I've lost sight of all logic in life
I never do as I should

Desolate devotion to one person
Is the only thing left that brings joy

And of course God has removed him from me
For I know my focus shouldn't be a boy

Unfortunately that doesn't change a thing
My heart still rests in his hands

And because of such great distance
I'm SO far from being with him

We both have so much growing to do
Before we can truly connect and become one

So until then my heart cries out
In sorrow from constant scraping until I am done

I really enjoyed this poem. Mostly because i am going through a very similar situation. I really believe you have a gift when it comes to the way you put your words down on paper. The flow was right, the words were right and all in all it was a great read. Keep up the good work, i hope to read more from you soon.
