You'd Break My Heart

by Rachel   Mar 13, 2008

I grasp for ground, but only fall
I look around, and see that wall

You shut me out, without a chance
You're filled with doubt, on second glance

What did I do? What did I say?
How can I fix this? Dont go away

We had it all, but let it go
Tears start to fall, for once your feelings show

My stomaches churning, I bleed inside
My heart is burning, my love: denied

I'm broken-hearted, empty and dead
My thoughts are bumbarded, with the words you once said

I tighten my eyes, to keep them from tears
But despite my best tries, a sparkle appears

Three words I utter, "I love you!"
I hear no mutter, please say it too

Desprate for a reply, I clasp your hand
I should learn not to rely, on the grounds that I stand

Please hold me tight, you're all I know
You are my light, you make me glow

But now you're leaving, all knowledge: lost
Such pain I'm receiving, my heart was the cost

I knew this day would come, the day we fall apart
Yet I let myself fall in love with you, knowing you'd break my heart
