Pretend Miracles

by RB   Mar 14, 2008

Don't make me promises you don't mean to keep,
Like a coin in the water I'm sinking down deep,
And inside your heart I'm making my place,
Leaving my mark upon your flawless face.

No, I can't control weather or bring sunny skies,
But I can dry your tears, and brighten your eyes,
And though I can't see the future or bring back the past,
We can live for the moment and make it all last.

I'll pretend to make miracles but that won't make them real,
So let's just close our eyes, make a wish, spin the wheel,
We'll take chances together, rely solely on love,
Yes, I'll be your miracle, if you'll be my dove.
