You opened my ribcage.

You opened my ribcage
Like an old rusty gate
And dug through my lungs
As you would
To a pile of laundry

You plucked through my
Alveoli trees
Laid down the
Grapes of air on rice paper
To use as bubble wrap around
Your precious things

Then you took a pair of
Scissors to my chest
And walked away with
My heart in your
Carry-on bag
