A Passionate Kiss, No Ignorance, No Bliss

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Mar 15, 2008

Across the room he saw his love
And made his way to greet
Done in the heat of the moment
Done in a moment of heat

His lips touch hers
Two hearts are one
They beat in sync
'Til that kiss is done

Passionate moment
Of ignorant bliss
Lips do the action
But it's more than a kiss

The kiss is a symbol
A symbol for feelings
They can end abruptly
Or be faked with no meaning

His lips dropped hers
And he pulled her near
More than enough
To whisper in her ear

"I love you" he said
"I love you a lot"
But in this world of faux affection
Thats a kiss that she forgot

No happy ending
No fairy tale
Love letters he's sending
No return mail

He knows too much
If ignorance is bliss
In the end he really loved her
But to her it's just a kiss

Don't worry i didn't go around kissing anyone, hahaha, i saw a perfume commercial, so i let the passionate kiss thing flow out into the poem, but u know me cant have a happy ending

Amazing, even the TITLE is poetic. Sad how the very same kiss can mean something so different to two people.

Wow, the sad part is that this poem is true 4 many people, a kiss that means the world 2 some1 can just be fun&games 4 annother. 5/5

God jesse. you know why happy endings never happen in poetry? because poetry tells the truth. i hate this poem (that's code for it is fabulous) lol.

    No happy ending
    No fairy tale
    Love letters he's sending
    No return mail
