Beyond Cognition

by Jacob M Parnell   Mar 21, 2008

Beyond cognition,
It seems far from real.
Its love, its conviction,
Its more than just how I feel.

Its a new essence of reality,
That baffles me to the core.
Fills me with vitality,
And leaves me lusting for more.

An enlightenment Buddhist's couldnt achieve.
Enviable of kings,
A feeling almost impossible to believe,
Like dragons and vampires among other things.

Eternity is too brief,
With her by my side.
An enamoring thief,
With whom I can confide.

I care for her immensely,
No matter how the day may go.
I will love for her intently,
Just so she will know.

Know that I love her,
And without her my passion is lost.
And that no matter what may occur,
For her my heart is crossed.

Today, tomorrow and the day I die,
By her side is where I wish to be.
So that when I say that last goodbye,
Her image is the last thing I see...
