Easter Time

by Aaron Deevers   Mar 21, 2008

I stand here staring
Staring at pictures of children
Children that once were just that
Children that are now adults
Adults living on their own
Living in another city
A city miles away
To far to travel
So alone I am
My children are now adults
Successful yet busy
No time to come see me
One day I will see them
Them and their own children
That day is soon
Easter itself is only a few days away
Time for adults to watch
Time for adults to enjoy
Time for adults to remember
Remember the old times
The times they once hunted for Easter eggs
Soon they will be here and time will stand still
