Passion took over

by Courtney Lynn   Mar 21, 2008

Passion took me over.
I couldn't win the fight.

Though my pride was burning
in another way it felt so right.

I knew it had no meaning
And that later I'd be in tears,

but life's about taking risks
and over coming your fears.

So I let you take the wheel
and let you take my hand.
But I was thinking of the past,
and you couldn't understand.

I can't lie it was wonderful
it was everything from a dream,
but the moment just took over,
things were never as the seemed.

Your heart just wasn't in it,
and mine was on the ground,
so you sealed my mouth shut with your lips.
I couldn't make a sound.

I didn't want it to end,
though I knew it was all a lie.
My heart just melted away,
you looked at me and said "goodbye"
