Changing for you

by bra it knee   Mar 25, 2008

Reaching for the single-blade razor lying along my desktop,i restrain my forearm, leaving imprints of each individual finger upon my bronzed wrist.

mimicking flashbacks of my past haunt me as i hide behind these tear-glazed eyes and frowning smile.

sliding 3 fingers within my mouth, the contraction of the muscles in my throat forces me to pull out without an assist.

mimicking flashbacks of my past haunt me as i hide behind these tear-glazed eyes and frowning smile.

with your oil-stained fingers you trace along my tear trails, whipping away my evidence of weakness.

mimicking flashbacks of my past haunt me as i hide behind these tear-glazed eyes and frowning smile.

hesitantly holding a promise within myself, i break the skin of my bottom lip realizing the commitment i hold towards you.

no more mimicking flashbacks of my past will haunt me behind tear-glazed eyes and a frowning smile.

changing who i was for you, i state that i love you which forces a smile upon my face as i whip away tears of my past.
