Music in the Leaves

by Robert W Borden   Mar 25, 2008

As I walk
down the cold streets
I watch the sun
slowly disappear
over the horizon

I noticed a tree
untouched
and so beautiful

the leaves
slowly moved
as the soft wind
breezes by their soft touch

the grass
swaying back and forth
like soft music

I can hear
the wind
whistling in my ears

as I watch
this beautiful
peace of nature
so large
it touches
the surface
of heaven
I can see something

I see you
standing
underneath
the branches of the tree
your so beautiful
your beauty
your life
your soul
your love
is what made this tree

I see us
together
my hand
slowly
slightly touching
the soft skin on your face

our lips
pressed calmly
together

our hearts
dancing
with the music
the tree
the grass
and the wind
are all making

As i stand there
staring at this tree
I can hear the soft beat
of your heart
and that
is the most beautiful
sound
of all
