Everlasting Rose

by Coffee Loves Nachos   Mar 25, 2008

I sit here with
these dozen roses thinking,
thinking what to do with them.
Should I just let them sit here?
Or should I give them to my sweet
Baby Tiffy for a surprise.
But if I just let them sit here
they will just rot and die.
And if I give them to my Baby Tiffy
they will rot and die.
But I can pull one out and
set in this fake one,
the one made from fabric and plastic.
So when I go to hand my baby the dozen roses
I can tell her that I will,
I will love her until the last one dies.
So when she places the roses in a vase
only eleven of the roses will,
will die but only one Will be the Everlasting Rose.
