Search for an Outlet.

Two best friends,
Not supposed to fall in love.
I could've sworn,
You were an angel from above.

Once so perfect,
A true living fairytale.
But after it,
Dwelled a nightmare from hell.

You make me feel broken,
Right down to my core.
So many things left unspoken,
I feel so sore...

I wish you could see what I see,
Feel what I feel.
So it's not my tears,
I must conceal.

I always loved you more,
I would have never walked away.
Instead you ran for the door,
When I asked you to stay.

Words couldn't describe,
My ongoing emptiness.
Is it right to feel,
Such lonliness?

For months I've been abondoned;
Out of place.
For my sadness,
I've shown every visible trace.

It takes an endless summer season,
To begin a heart to mend.
But it's been nothing but winter,
& This is no Winter Wonderland.

I told you my heart,
Would stay forever set.
Now I need heart support,
I need an outlet.

A way to escape;
Escape my hollow heart.
Will it take a cord extension,
To reach you? When we're already this far apart?

Is it to late?
Can we go back?
Will I ever get over this?
Or will it be you, I forever miss?

** This poem I just wrote today. It was about a past experience with a best friend of mine; whome I did at one point fall head over heels for... When it never should have happened to begin with.
