Breaking

by Stumbling Shaman   Mar 28, 2008

Obscuring inner calm, a gentling blindness
And the unbidden
Almost unwelcome
Restive silence
Found in latent fears; in the allure
Of the not quite unrequited
Yet still, ill at ease

Mind and heart
Not long past and not long before
Another fierce and delicate
Bloody release

Uncertain smiles, a tentative resonance
And ther unspoken
Rising on a whispered caress
Evades understanding
A moment laid bare; then, out of reach
And bereft of reason
Implodes the stillness

Untimely and ill-defined
Passions harrow exposed nerves
This cold affront of meaningless
Breaks the world like an adulterous kiss
