A poignant piece you have penned here. I found the moon references powerful focus of this write. The imagery was superb and I was totally into that moon lit hill. You described your pain and the callousness of her actions in such a way that made me, the reader feel your pain too! I am glad you closed the piece with the rise of the phoenix. All experiences, even the awful ones make you stronger, you certainly seem to be better for this one!
