Shores

by ThomasBlackburn   Apr 1, 2008

I walk outside and see the skies and heavens above.
Then it dawns upon my heart...

Take this anguish, pull my soul from me,
You can have my blood,
Take the earth from me out from my feet.
I feel the relief pushed onto me like waves.

We will walk these shores...
Break the burdens from each other.
Together we stand,
At times away, but never apart.
We will walk these shores...
Of my heart.

I survey the shining stars,
I know its eternal in space.
My heart will discontinue one day,
But I will continue this race.
That one day I will take the place of those stars.

It can wear me down, this limited life cycle.
I look for comfort in your eyes,
I'm never disappointed.

Feeling the relief pushed onto me like waves.
Take the earth from me, out from my feet.
Were away but never apart,
We walk the shores of...
My heart.
