Sky black or sky blue

by ThomasBlackburn   Apr 1, 2008

Can we really trust in our own hearts?

I saw the sky going red,
I thought it was dead,
But things were flying like bees around the hive,
it was afraid to sting me and I knew I was alive.

Can comfort be our friend with no demise?
May I see your eyes without a trace of disguise?
Only black starry skylights,
Compare to love highlights
In the air, the winter's warm.

And only the passion of us two,
Makes us see through,
All the treacherous dew that fogs our doubted existence.

Confide along with me, accept it,
Don't hide it and don't regret it.
I'm here with you whether sky black or sky blue.
