Breathe (extended cut)

by Torrence   Apr 1, 2008

So, I posted the short version earlier. This is the full version. I am not sure which I like better.

Snow white your beauty's sleeping
Lost at night in art and letters
2 am awake and screaming
Sad eyes and wet cheeks
Blur the words
Dull the mind
And I pray you remember to breathe.
You're so beautiful when you're alive.

Rosy cheeks turned pale
Eyes emptied, hollow
Misery from misery
Uselessness mirrored in sorrow
It makes no sense
That you'd run yourself ragged
Suffering to stop the pain
When neither abates
And I wish you'd let some color return
Some vibrancy to the dull landscape
I wish you'd live again.
You are so much better when you're breathing.

Drained, getting lighter
Frantic pace you can't keep up forever
No matter what the past says
Fading and fading without knowing it
And I wish you could see it
Take a breath
Come back
I beg, because
You are perfect when you exist.
