Teacher

by eponine lovefool   Apr 4, 2008

I watch him pacing down the hall
his hair two different shades of grey
my knees go weak i almost fall
i close my eyes and pray

that someday he would look at me
and see a little more
than the girl who's bad at geometry
drops pencils on the floor

that someday he might see me clear
that i am not the same
as every other girl in here
he might remember my name

that someday he might have enough
of his job,his rep, his life
that he might admit he never loved
his boring,aging wife

that someday he might take my hand
and we might run away
that he would truly understand
everything i say

that someday he might make my dreams
into something warm and true
he might whisper " alls not as it seems
and ive always loved you"

that someday he might set her free
the girl no-one could reach
that someday he might do for me
a little more than try to teach

that someday he might save my world
that someday he might see
a little less of the clumsy girl
a little more of me

i see him walking down the hall
every single day
i pray that he might talk to me
but he always looks away.

Unbelievable! A very prevailing poem, it holds so much intensity.

~that someday he might have enough
of his job,his rep, his life
that he might admit he never loved
    his boring, aging wife~
    ^^^^^^
