There are many things in life we wish to understand,
Like why is the sky blue? or what will tomorrow bring?
There are so many questions so many thoughts,
on how oneself can change a life.
I wish I could be the one
The one to open your eyes
To see that this life is beautiful,
though it has it’s ups and down.
Could it be any harder,
To know you wont be by my side,
To know that what we were was a thing of the past.
Yes, I know what you mean
I understand it all,
But I don't want to see the truth,
I don't want to realize such fate,
All I want is for you to know,
You were never invisible...
You never left.
If this were your last day,
Would you have said what you meant,
Would you hold unto the times we spent,
Would you remember the past,
Would you have understood,
That I was always there...
smiling because you smile,
laughed because you laugh,
cried because you cried,
I was with you to be your shoulder,
As you were there for me to speak.
I wish I could turn back the hours,
To never say good-bye,
Or at least to have one more day,
To have the courage...
