Lacerated Heart

by TheRevelation   Apr 8, 2008

Feel the cracks as you pound down,
My mouth emits no sound,
The ripping leaves me crippled,
Boggled, broken, and bitter.

Needles and fire, I feel no pain,
An empty shell of what remains,
Try as you might, I won't show,
The anguish, misery, and woe.

Trapt in a never ending maze,
Wanting to get out, in a craze,
Showing my weakness, it can't be,
Fear, misery, is that me?

Bring the thread to stitch the hole,
My shattered heart needs a soul,
It has been this way for so long,
Lacerated, make me strong.

Wow, I absolutely loved this. The images you created were so powerful. The pain so vivid as was the determination to not be metally beaten.

My favourite stanza, the last -

Bring the thread to stitch the hole,
My shattered heart needs a soul,
It has been this way for so long,
    Lacerated, make me strong.

Well done 5/5 plus nominated (good luck)
