Sing to me a lullaby

by Lacie   Apr 13, 2008

Sing to me a lullaby,
The one about the world.

Sing about the darkened streets,
The child who Crys herself to sleep.

About the mother who killed her son.
The father who simply tried to run.

About the killers, young and old.
About the futures meek and bold.

About the brothers who killed the kid.
Sing it only once again.

Sing so loud the world hears,
song so strong, here comes the tears.

Sing about the drugs and money,
Sing about the not so funnys.

Sing a song for today.
Sing a song about yesterday.

Sing a song we know is true,
Sing that song for me and you.

Sing a song for the yet to live,
Sing it strong for the yet to give.

Sing it proud for its our country,
Isn't it just as sweet as honey?
