Until The End

by Unrequited   Apr 14, 2008

My days are blended into a weary nightmare-

I seek comfort from a world
that offers nothing
but the storm clouds upon its back.
dying wishes star the sky with a blanket
of withered trust,
while truth and fear leech onto our skin.

my eyes shut with pains of relief,
leaving white hot scars
in a glow.
she folds her hands upon my heart,
soothing my life
until the very end.

but in a rush of hunger!
her heart, filled with vibrant fires,
breathes all life into my lungs,
and love in my eyes.

and I awaken in all sense of the word.

nightmares are brought to
a timely end, and desire is born
inside spirited dreams.
to have and to hold,
our lives now unfold
my heart is yours,
our love eternally soars-

and we shall sing of joy until the very end.
