The Love of 2

by John   Apr 14, 2008

Two kids met at school,
Towards love each one was a fool,
For each other the feelings were there,
For her, he truly did care,
They talked and talked until they fell in love,
If it was real, nobody knows except for the mighty one up above,
So as the story goes on, they had their first kiss,
The type that both of them will always reminisce,
He loved her now so very much,
He felt comfort from the softest of her touch,
He knew that soon he would ask her out,
What the future withheld, he knew nothing about,
Her answer was yes which was what he hoped it to be,
She loved him, that he could clearly see,
He did everything in his power for her that he could,
To him, he was just doing everything that he should,
Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months soon months turned into years,
Throughout this time both of them had shed many tears,
But still their relationship was strong,
They were sure of that because they had already lasted this long,
His family loved her and hers loved him,
The chances of them breaking up were looking very slim,
They had now been together for two years and born was a beautiful baby girl,
She was so pretty with soft skin and every part of her hair was made of a curl,
By this time he was living with his own little family,
And everyone around was so very happy,
Months kept passing them by,
But their relationship was falling apart; the more and more they had to try,
Finally it came to where she could take no more,
The future had now shown what it had in store,
He moved out of the place he called home,
Now he's all alone,
She seems to be doing better; trying to live her life,
Now he regrets everything he ever did and does nothing but wish she was his wife,
Of course he still sees his baby,
But when he does, he thinks of how he can't hold the one he used to call his lady,
Still to this day he prays and prays for a miracle,
He really needs it because his well being is very critical.
We don't know what the future will foretell now,
And if things work out, I truly wonder how.

(I wrote this about 2 years ago expressing the way I felt for the mother of my child.)
