Edge of a beginning

by Chloe L   Apr 16, 2008

I am standing on the edge of a beginning,
Something new, something more.
A tightening on my wrist halts me,
Invisible, unidentified, but there

I'll spend the day waiting,
Sitting by the phone, watching space.
One day it'll happen,
Everything will fall into place

For now I take a step back,
Watch my dream float on from afar.
It's too soon, too complex
Maybe it's too late, moment past

If I move forward, take a risk,
Nothing will break my fall,
Not you, not this, no one.
So I'll wait, I'll hope, it'll come
