Love, Truth, Nature

by Casey Dillard   Apr 16, 2008

Love, Truth, and Nature all three together beckon me
I follow trying to catch a glimpse of them as they fly calling my name
Begging me to follow
I follow until the voices stop and I look down at where they rest
To see an intimate sight that I didn't expect from Love, Truth, nor Nature
Three beautiful flowers dance gracefully in the wind
One red as love, one white as truth, the last green as nature
I stand dumbfounded at the beauty of these flowers
Sitting for awhile pondering the one I should take home with me
I look sadly upon the three flowers unable to choose
The red one is so amazing and beautiful, it just cries out for me
Yet, the white one is just as beautiful
They are twins of beauty
How can I choose?
Even still the green flower dances in an attracting way
That my eyes somehow can't get over
It will take me my entire soul to make this decision
I lay in the grass with the flowers
Still pondering my choices quietly
Such beauty and elegance in love, truth, and nature
I can't, even myself, choose which is best for me
I think as the wind blows and the flowers dance with such beauty
I have decided that I will not choose of these flowers
They mean too much to me to just pick one
I shall wait until two of the flowers have lost their love for me
And take the one that still holds love for me to my home
Which ever is chose I will have my happy ending
For this is the way of love, the way of truth, and of nature
