The Frost Outside

by katrina   Apr 18, 2008

I can see through this tainted glass but I still can't touch your skin,
And the frost outside is clouding judgment, and its slowly creeping in.
This chilling frost encapsulates, and robs me of your warmth,
And now I'm here just waiting for, the moment that I'm torn.
The freezing ice is escalating and is piling into this room,
And I try reach for your hand, but your now covered by the gloom.
Face to face with frosty glass, I hopelessly stare at you,
But you are just oblivious and the cold consumes you too.
The icy storm won't dissipate, it persists to make you cruel,
The frost is unforgiving, so nasty and portrays me as a fool.
