Ignition of the Mission

by TheRevelation   Apr 19, 2008

I will take you on a flight to the limit-less sky,
The birds soar below us, as our wings spread,
The clouds form to our shape against warm skin,
Place your hand in mine, let us fly.

The beautiful stars never shine as bright as you,
You may hurt my eyes, but I can not look away,
We sit among the comets, close your tender lids,
My wish has all ready come true.

We sail along saturn's rings, your laugh is a melody,
I watch your smile as we have made it to the fragile pluto,
I will wrap my arms around you, never let go,
I know what my heart is telling me.

This journey has taught me what I have known,
You were my ignition of the mission that was love,
Teaching me that someone can be your everything,
Planting seeds in my heart, that you will always own.

I loved the metaphorical theme that ran throughout this piece. I also likes the rhyming scheme (not one I have every tried)
    These are my favourite bits:
-You may hurt my eyes, but I can not look away
    - We sail along saturn's rings, your laugh is a melody
    - You were my ignition of the mission that was love.

Well done on a beautiful write. 5/5
