My Heart/Reflection of the Puddle

by The Invisible Boy   Apr 20, 2008

I must admit it really does hurt
I just want you to not realise how much
It feels like I'm lying face down in the life of dirt
My heart can't stand up without a crutch

Now my heart no longer has a use
Other than pumping blood around my body
All the feelings were hung with your noose
Now it's only another tool and no longer the key...to me

That day the rain it poured
I smiled, you looked back
I was ignored
It was the first time I saw my heart with the crack

I see my face looking into the reflection of the puddle
But you're not standing next to me, no, nooooo more
I got lost looking for you in the huddle
But you just left through the door...leaving me feeling sore

I was your Invisible Boy
You were my Snow Flake
Now my heart is just a toy
No one cares, it can just be glued together if it breaks

I want to help you to break down the walls
I promise I would never hurt you
I know how it feels when it falls
It feels empty and you can't believe what you thought you knew

Now my heart no longer has a use
Other than pumping blood around my body
All the feelings were hung with your noose
Now it's only another tool and no longer the key...I can't be set free...no, not without you

I see my face looking into the reflection of the puddle
But you're not standing next to me, no, nooooo more
For all the times I held you in a cuddle
To think that some day you'd be gone when the rain did pour...pour...pour
