River

by The Invisible Boy   Apr 23, 2008

Walking down the bank
Sun shining in the distance
The scene is anything but blank
Walking along and pondering my existence

Down the river, Down the river
Is where we'll flow
Down the river, Down the river
Everywhere we'll go

Ducks swim by my side
Nature amazes me as I walk by
I remember the tears I cried
For you but now all I can do is look at the sky

I sit and wonder why
The world feels at one with my unprogressive stride
I watch the birds fly by
As the driftwood follows the tide

Down the river, Down the river
Is where we'll flow
Down the river, Down the river
Everywhere we'll go

The tears I cried taken by the tide
The lies you lied can now subside

As I throw the pebble into the sea
I remember the places we used to be
The times we shared, you and me
Now to think we're the debris

Down the river, Down the river
Is where we'll flow
Down the river, Down the river
That beautiful place we used to know

I read this three times I liked it so well, maybe I will read it a forth you never can tell. The emotions were well placed and like stepping stones I enjoyed the path they made.
