Bleed Me Dry

by Torrence   Apr 24, 2008

You're worth it
All the pain
The tears
The sleepless nights I toss and turn
Awaken in a sweat at 3am
Your face framed in dreams
Nightmares become reality

I gladly take the blows
The careless cuts off your eyes, your tongue
Relegated to the background of your life
Taken out from time to time
An emblem of a memory
I will gladly bleed myself dry
Because you are worth it

But where are you
Here I am alone
Emptied and broken
Hollow and torn
Tears hit the floor at what should be your feet
But they just fall to the lonely concrete
Blood flows freely in the empty room
Echoes amplify my sobs
And I pray for death
You are worth it
Your ghost is not

It was interesting. I'm not a big love poem person though. For me not being the love poem type, it was pretty good. I'll give it a four.
