I stand on a mountain and look below,
And watch a river as it flows.
It seems so small from where I stand,
Yet that river is oh, so grand.

I stand in a valley and look above,
And wonder how people ever find love.
From where I stand, the world seems vast,
Yet love will come, and love will last.

I stand in the road and look ahead,
And see the journey I must tread.
It seems so long from where I stand,
Yet the end will come sooner than planned.

I stand by a mirror and look and see,
The image that EVERYONE thinks is me.
Yet the REAL ME has feelings and also dreams,
Please look again, things aren't always as they seem.

    Oh my.. you just flawlessly conveyed the title of your poem thru these stanzas, and then you summed it up in a really touching way...

    It was just amazing how you've explained urself thru these lines... I LOVE IT, so deep and flowing greatly!

    Yeah, the truth is out there somewhere... But people usually think it is just easier to believe what they have seen or heard or what they think is the truth..

    It is much harder to put youself in someone's else position than always keep your own view about things.
