Do you remember a time?
When no poems were about you
Did I surprise you when I did,
What I said I'd do?

I wrote you a poem a day
Just to see you smile
To hear what you would say

My heart was not yet yours
Remember the warm hugs?
Outside our classroom doors

Remember a time?
When you opened your heart
Mine was so broken
I gave you the best part

Remember a time?
What I said came true
I said I'd fall for someone
I said I'd fall for you

Remember a time?
You said we'll only be friends
That time is now
