Boy and Girl

Boy likes girl, girl likes boy
I know what you think, typical love poem but its not
See this boy that this girl loves was shot.
He was killed while he was walking from the girl's house.

This all began when the girl said that she needed some time alone.
The boy thought that they were perfect.
He thought that together they made a happy home.
But somewhere along the line the girl was unhappy.

She fed him lines trying to explain herself to him.
With every word she said the boy felt as though he was thrown in a pool and didn't know how to swim.
Drowning with no one to come to his rescue.
Honestly what was the boy to do?

All she talked about the next couple of days was how she just wanted so space.
To him all that sounded like was "get out of my face"
So later that day the boy goes and buys a necklace with a locket.
He carried it around in hi pocket.

Now knowing that the girl of his dreams no longer felt the same.
Honestly what was the boy to do?
He didn't know what hdidd wrong if he was the one to blame.

He walks up the stairway and knocks on the door.
Another guy opens the door and his heart instantly dropped to the floor.
As she peeked out her head she asked the boy what he was doing here.
Influenced by his mixed emotions he handed her a necklace with a half heart.
A picture of him was engraved on the piece.

He turned away and started to make his way down the street.
The girl ran down the stairs and saw the boy whom she still loved drop to his feet.
" BANG! "
He was shot right in the head.
As the girl ran down the street she knew that he was dead.
She finally reached him and with his final breath this is what he said.

" You were my star that I gazed at in the night."
" You were my sun on all my rainy days "
" Forever and ever my love for you will last and in my heart your face will always stay "

The boy clinched the girls hand and gave her one last kiss
And now here we are one year later at his grave.
All the girl thinks of now is that one love that she will forever miss.
