I Come Back To You

by rosalina calling   Apr 28, 2008

I come back to you
What is it that draws me?
In your hands, so true
Is that precious key

The key to my heart
My happiness, my dear
It's a delicate art
That keeps me here

Here where you are
Your smile, it brings
The light from afar
To my soul, it sings

Sings a sweet song
Which, in my mind I keep
With you I belong
Then I fall into the deep

The deep warmth of your eyes
That melts my cold heart
My cheer- a sadness in disguise
Whenever we part

Part from each other
But never truly away
For there is no other
That stays as you stay

Stay in my mind
Never let you go
So I ask you, be kind
To me will you show

Show the emotion
That I show for you
For you've set in motion
What you cannot undo

Undo all the things
That you've done to me
Your words that ring
In my head, so softly

Softly you whisper
To me in the night
And the stars say, "Kiss her."
So you hold me tight

Tight, so I won't fall
But then I wake in my bed
And remember it all
Was a dream in my head

My head filled with your charm
A wish I wish would come true
So that you'll open your arms
As I come back to you
