Goodnight my dear, the last goodnight

by katrina   May 1, 2008

The air is chilled, my heart is on fire
I'm here with you, I'm here with a liar
My jacket covers, but doesn't conceal my face
My face is open, and you can tell I'm not phazed
Cos I'll leave you now, with your heart spilling out
To avoid the shame of you making me shout
The moonlight reveals the harshness of the truth
And here is my good-bye, dear good-bye to you
The night breeze whispers, telling me to let go
While the smell of your musk settles in my nose
And the feelings I felt never came close to the pain,
The pain that you put me through, over again
So I walk away, hands in my pockets
Goodnight my dear, the last goodnight
