Killing Lover

by Kathryn H   May 1, 2008

With his hands tied around my neck
And as my tears fall down my chest
Like a waterfall that won't ever die
I am drowning in my tears alive

From the love that grew like a flower
Has turned into a rotting leaf
Crumbled and stepped on
Too many times to count

As the water comes up to my neck
I swim until I can find life again
Because love should not have done this
What have I done to have deserved this?

When I gazed into his eyes
I felt nothing but darkness
And as if he were in disguise
Hiding away all his biggest fears

And instead of overcoming them
He is trying to kill me with his own hands
