Spirit Child

by peter   May 5, 2008

Serenity broken by advancing puffs
of evening cloud,
Humidity brought to it knee's
As cool air is ushered in
by a rambling breeze,
Larks in flight,
Catching slightly stun bee's,

Great willows bow - to streams,
while inlets, shimmer to roots
which are spread like feet,

Lovers bathe, embraced in
consensual intimacy,
coveted by the forest's canopy,
Silence broken, by muted sounds -
of passionate screams,
Gyrating hips form rippled rings,
Dragonfly's flitter,
To witnessing the passing of seed,

Tribal chanting echoes,
Silently through the filtering trees,
Applauding elders encourage
Shamans of the tribe,
To evoke - Great Spirits,
Gods;
To sanction the seeding of child,
Sun god smiling, succumbed
To the moon rising,

Acts of consummation,
Cleansed,
By rivers current
Water falling
To rapids
Washing away Spirits
of unwanted seed,

The End.....
