QUITE THE GAME
I used to play fellas,
I was a pro in the game
But then I met you,
And my mentality changed.
You committed a felony,
As you stole my heart.
You swept me off my feet
& showed me what love was about.
You convinced me to quite the game
& now there is no turning back.
I never thought I would find true love
But so deeply I have fallen,
& I refuse to attempt to get up.
I would have never guessed
That I would settle down,
But everything has its reason.
Fait will always prevail,
No matter the scenario
So as I hang up my jersey,
& give up the game for good
I know in my heart that
Destiny includes you & me.
