Doubt

by Luke Hicks   May 9, 2008

Nothing compares to the time we spent at our little beach
The dream, the ultimate in life however remains just out of reach

So close we were, but it wasn't to be
Which way do I go now, how do I be me

You came along out of nowhere, out of the blue
My life seemed full until I fell in love with you

Now I see what is out there, what life can be
How do I settle for second best, that's just not me

Do I move on as a lone soul searching for the prize
Or do I find contentment with what I have, do I compromise

Do I show the world I'm sad, frustrated and a little down
Or do I play the game and be the sad clown

Do I sacrifice myself for the sake of others, is that what I'm all about
Or do I risk it all to chase the dream, I can't help but doubt
