Sleeping Willows

by Claire   May 10, 2008

Sleeping willows
rustling grass
underneath the trees
watching time pass

seeing the clouds
passing right by
noticing birds
as they fly

the white clouds
turning gray
frightening the sky
changing the day

from warm heat
and love's sweet bliss
to dark clouds
of hateful abyss

sleeping willows
rustling grass
underneath the trees
watching love pass

Very beautiful poem. i thought it was simple and very affective. great explaination of how the sky changed and how your feelings about love did too. you incorperated love and nature all together in a unquie and beautiful way.

    from warm heat

a beautiful and affective stanza. it really caught my eye. even though so simple i think it made the poem beautiful. great job-----tara
