I wish I could become numb to you if only for a day, to forget all the pain you've brought upon my way

I wish I could only remember memories of how we were back then, how I was yours and you were mine and no heart aces to mend

I wish I could feel your touch that once made me physically weak, or whenever you came you around made it hard for me to speak

I wish I could go back when the pain of hurtful lies didn't exist, and how the bond we shared always would persist

I wish I could mend my heart back to its full repair and you showed instead of telling me how much you really cared
