What I would do

by katrina   May 11, 2008

Sleepy eyes and coffee tongue,
I prayed for you but I'm still alone.
Here and now is now one,
I need you now cos I'm on my own.

Parched lips and oily skin,
I fell asleep to dream of you.
Here I am and deep within,
I know there's nothing I can do.

Aching back and puffy face,
I'd stay up all night to here your voice.
But here I am in out of space,
All alone and with no choice.

Empty heart and painful tears,
Oh how I wish to be with you.
But here I am, alone with fears,
But you don't know what I would do.

What I would do, with sleepy eyes,
What I would do, with coffee tongue.
I'd take you under this wing of mine,
Because I know you are the one.

What I would do, with parched lips,
What I would do, with oily skin.
You'd be the one I'd always keep,
You'd be the prize that I would win.

What I would do, with empty heart,
What I would do, with painful tears.
I'd keep myself from falling apart,
To keep you safe through all the years.
