My Best Friend

by Eric Koehn   May 12, 2008

The times I hate the most is when I am away

Missing your little, round body, plus the way you never obey

I think about your wagging tail, and the way you lick my face

Oh why didn’t take you to this place

Seeing you beg for treats, like you never eat

Standing on your hind legs. Dancing at my feet

Sleeping in your cage all day. Just waiting for me

When I hit home all you want is to be free

That’s the time we relax together

Cause you are my best friend forever
