Nature's Beauty Almost Died Long Ago

by Sheila   May 13, 2008

This life so crazy
This hectic time in that life of hers
What can she do?
She lies on her bed
Watching her past run through like a movie
Regret seeps through her mind
Salty substance racing down her rosy cheek
What can she do?
When she lets him know the truth of her past
Will he love her the same or less
??
What can she do?
Let the fear grab a hold of her neck
When her ex, this terrifying monster, returns
He can truly make her feel as if every step
She takes she's walking on fire
Darkness fills her insides as she remembers
She remembers HIM tearing down her image
Her image of who she was
Of who she was use to
He destroyed the image of a man, any man
Her self-esteem lower than the ocean floor
She believes his every word
She doesn't have the straight hair but curly/wavy
She doesn't have those piercing blue eyes or colorful green eyes or any other color just the boring brown
She doesn't have that beautiful blond hair but brunette like so many others
She doesn't have that nice smooth, light complexion but another that she has no clue of what it is
She's not skinny like the models on television but slim like so many others
What can she do?
He can't stand her
Can't stand the way she talks
Doesn't love her at all
Can't truly be with her without belitting her and making
Her feel like trash
What can she do?
She must leave, but how?
She's been so use to
Dying inside slowly
Blood seeping through her shirt
Tears constantly flowing down her face
Skin so frail these days
Her eating habits decrease with each day coming forth
Mind dillusioned with THIS MAN
Jumping back on forth
Making excuses
"It was my fault, I shouldn't have..."
Yet she forgets that she shouldn't say that
It wasn't her fault
What can she do?
She's attached and couldn't let go even with the abuse
The bruises no one saw
The scrapes no one wondered on
The blood no one paid attention to
Her heart torn in pieces that she felt no one can repair
When will this time end
Is it going to be when she...

The truth is all I ask, my perception of doesn't change when you tell me of your past mistakes. We all make and have made our mistakes, I understand this completely, and I truly want to be there for you, working through your past with you. You don't have to worry babe, no matter what I will always love you; my love will not cease because of you telling me something that happened in your life in years passed.

That boring brown you talk about are oceans that I swim in every day; they are a beautiful amber-maple.

Those curls entrance me all day long--when I twirl them through my fingers, you sitting in front of me in English; flowing down around your shoulders bouncing in a joyous play that makes me all giddy inside.

Try to see through the illusions set up by this man, know and see the truth of your beauty and worth. You are a beautifully strong woman and never forget that. I will always be right beside you, working with you through this and all else.

I won't let you... You mean the world to me, babe and I won't let you give up. I love you dearly. I'm here with you always.

Rememba' that babes, I'm always here for you, no matter what.
