Casket

by Lacie   May 13, 2008

The smell of flowers linger,
In this saddened place.

Grave stones scattered all around,
As my heart begins to race.

I walk up to the casket,
Displayed for all to see.

They slowly lower it into the ground,
As the mother starts to weep.

I've seen this face before,
She lingers in my dream.

Her face if young and hopeful,
I know this face is me..
