I Die Too Easily

by Curing the Comon Cliche   May 13, 2008

*in class*
Here is the setting:
Dead quiet room
Breath in ever deeper
And let the silence resume

Poems linger in the air
Those words fall on this sheet
But are they words of happiness
Or more bitter than they are sweet?

*at break*
You caught me looking in your eyes
That just means you were looking too
Little stanzas come to mind
Those happy words are true

*back in class*
Poems inspired by you are the sweetest
But the ones in the air collide
Sad words can kill a happy poem
Suffocate and die

*after school*
My dear, when you smile
I can't seem to breathe
Sad poems suffocate themselves
Which leaves just you and me

Lungs are vital organs
I need them to stay alive
But I guess I die too easily
A smile and blue eyes

(sorry it wasn't amazing, but is it ever?)
