Hopeless hope

by DK   May 16, 2008

So many eyes and foreign faces
all the time in all these places
sitting down to rest for a while
soon to be greeted by a familiar smile

a place of which to discuss the blues
did i mention that i like those shoes
your voice had long echoed in my heart
speeding its rhythm each time we part

i can't stop starring at your beautiful eyes
your laughter so lovely it dampens goodbyes
But all good things must come to an end
for all we are, are just mere friends

the accelerating beat that tortures me heart
that calls for you though we're miles apart
does yours synchronize with the rhythm of mine?
i hope its does yet i get hopeless signs

guilty of committing an unforgivable crime
hoping you'll feel the same in time
love is a slope and you are the rope
lying to myself with hopeless hope
