Licking My Wounds

by katrina   May 19, 2008

Wrapping myself up again, after licking my wounds,
You struck me hard with love and pain, and caused my wounds to ooze.
Passion is my toxin, and you gave enough to kill,
What was I to you, was I just a thrill?
In the darkness of night, you chose to hide your flaws.
Amongst your eloquent words, there you hid your claws.
Magical, enchanting but each kiss was laced with poison.
Your spell it worked a charm, but why was I chosen?
Maybe I was a challenge, maybe I was I was easy?
But licking my wounds does nothing, it's you who needs to heal me.
I don't know what to do, I'm stuck in a painful dance.
Sick of the agonising steps, I ask you for one chance.
A chance for you to say your sorry, a chance to gain a cure,
Cos you know what you inflicted on this heart so pure.
