Only Because it Hurts

I don't want to take you back
I don't even want to see you
I just want to move on
Pretend I never knew you

In time I'll learn to forget your smile
The gentleness of your touch
I'll move on and find someone new
Maybe I'll even fall in love

I don't know how long it will take
But someday I'll get over you
And hopefully my broken heart will mend
And finally set me free of you
